Our Story
Klaay was founded in 2024 by Jacob Riff and Jannik Grøntved. Both previously co-founded Monsido, a web governance SaaS platform that grew from 4 people to 150+ employees across offices in Sydney, London, Copenhagen, and San Diego before its acquisition by a US private equity firm in 2022. Klaay is backed by People Ventures and EIFO (Denmark's Export and Investment Fund). Klaay has offices in Copenhagen and San Diego, CA.

We have been in your shoes. At our last SaaS company, Monsido, we had to go through certification ourselves and it was a nightmare. Every tool on the market expected you to already know compliance inside out or to hire a consultant. They were clunky, confusing, and far too expensive.
That is why we built Klaay. Our mission is simple: make compliance effortless and automated so startups can focus on what really matters, building their product and growing their business instead of chasing policies and paperwork.
